In my opinion... a MUST for healthy turtle shells
February 15, 2018
I give our 5 aquatic turtles 1 of these giant Calcium Banquet Blocks approximately once a week, (maybe once every 6 days). Not only do they eat it down to nothingness because of the food pellets hidden inside, but they're getting lots of calcium while doing so. It sure beats having to coat their food with calcium powder. That's a pain in the neck, and I wonder how efficient it is. When coated food gets dropped into the water, I'm guessing a lot of the calcium gets washed off. With these Banquet Blocks, I actually see them eating their calcium, and I know it's keeping their shells nice and healthy, hard, and strong. Thank you, Zoo Med, for a great product!
