As long as I’ve had Bogart, approximately 35 years, he has been a picky eater . When I would have him groomed the person would always look at me strange and tell me he was too thin. Like I know, you can take a bird to a dish of seed but can’t make him eat. Since this new seed and fruit I got for him to try, he has been enjoying different fruits and nuts. He loves the cinnamon sticks and the almonds that are shelled. With his former food he could not open the shell. This food has a large variety of fruits, vegetables and seed. Hopefully he will start to put on some weight.

Finally - a healthy seed mix that I can give my Grey and Amazon THAT THEY WILL EAT! Less sunflower and lots of safflower seed - a great treat, as my birds eat pellets, nutriberries, cooked diets, and fresh vegetables and fruits. They are totally converted from a seed diet, but the occasional seed mix treat is loved by both!

My African Grey loves this food, although I wish it had a little less safflower. Petguy's price was great and delivery was superfast. Definitely will buy it again here.

Volkmans African Grey Parrot seed I've been using for 8 years now, for my 30 year old Gracie. It is the cleanest seed of any other seed suppliers on the market, and I've tried many others before Volkmans. African Grey Parrots are creatures of habit, and any change in seed suppliers to Grey's..takes some time before they gobble it up. I believe there are NO suppliers of Parrot food that can equal or better the Quality Volkman, and they put everything in there that a Healthy Parrot Needs.

I was on a waiting list, for a couple weeks to receive (2) 4 lbs bags, Volkman Avian Science Super African Grey Parrot Food.
The (2) 4 lbs bags, I received, had expired expiration dates!!!
I would have thought with Petguys not having this food in stock & being put on a waiting list, the food would not have had expired expiration dates!!
This Volkman Parrot Food is by far the best around.
