This formula contains all the essential nutrients of a complete diet, as well as high-fiber timothy hay to support proper gut physiology and digestion. Dosage:
Herbivore Mammals: Feed 3 tablespoon (27g) per kg of body weight daily.
Herbivore Reptiles: Feed 1 tablespoon (9g) per kg of body weight daily.
Divide daily amount into 4-6 feedings, or as indicated by your veterinarian.

I tried feeding her with anise flavor and she fought me. I tried apple banana flavor which I mix with pumpkin and she likes it. Not something either piggy wants all the time but comes in handy when Oscar gets sick or doesn't want to eat. Princess is my new piggy I'm trying to figure out. I found out she had pneumonia 1 week after I got her from a Craigslist sale. She was in the early stages of pneumonia. The antibiotics took a toll on her GI tract. She wouldn't eat on her own. So this stuff was food in her tummy. She is starting to eat a little on her own.
Oscar was fed this when he had a pleural effusion in both his lungs when he was a year old. He was fed this for 4 weeks. He did eat hay so he was able to avoid weight loss. He is recovered. He is 4 1/2 years old now. This is something to keep on hand for guinea pig parents or parents of bunnies or other herbivores that become sick.

Pros
- Great to have on hand, can be used to give medication as well. I mix critical care with cosequin powder to give Oscar who has arthritis in his hips and knees.
Cons
- Not all piggies want this. Some love it, some dont. You can mix pumpkin in it.

When caring for herbivores, I only trust Oxbow Critical Care and, from now on, when purchasing Critical Care, I will only trust PetGuys!

Super quick delivery and awesome product

My bunny is most likely permanently going to need syringe feeding to help him with receiving enough nutrients and fiber daily while he is battling his kidney disease. Critical care is not the easiest to obtain, especially for a low price nowadays, and even more so the Apple Banana flavor. I’m so thankful for PetGuys for having this specific flavor and price tag since this will be a constant necessity for my bun-bun. Delivery is quick (even for economy) and my bun is happy!

- Quick delivery, flavor profile is really appetizing for the bunny, packaged carefully, new product/not used or old

- Shipping is expensive (not sure why)
