Alcott Explorer Pup Tent

My 75 lb pit bull fell asleep in her tent the first night we went camping. I had to wake her up to go inside our trailer, when it was time to go to bed. The tent was easy to put up and had sufficient room for her and her blanket.
  • Easy to set up and enough room for a 75 lb dog. I also liked the having a carrying case to put the tent in after folding it up.

Great dog camping tent!

One of the few quality dog tents that fit a larger dog (or smaller), waterproof, and light and small enough to carry backpacking. It’s perfect! Pet guys were so friendly and helpful with fast delivery.

Haven’t used it for camping yet but it will be perfect. It’s adorable and just the right size. It fits my 65 lb pitbull fine. Room for another dog to snuggle in too if your dogs like to snuggle. Got the ruff wear sleeping bag to go with it. It’s surprise how small the tent can be packed too. It comes in a carry case, but can pack to about the size of shoe. Or easily stuff into the corners of your pack. My dog hasn’t taken to it yet but once we are out on the trail, I think he will like it. One negative, the tent stakes. They bent the first use. But that’s okay I intended to get some aluminum ones anyways!
  • Good size for 65 lb pitbull. Light weight. Packs small.
  • Tent stakes bent first use.

Perfect for our needs
November 1, 2019
We got this to use with our dog primarily indoors to retain heat in cold sleeping rooms in lieu of a blanket. It worked beautifully. Our pad fit perfectly inside and the tent itself fit perfectly in our bedroom & even in "tight-fitting" rooms, like motel rooms. It is easy & quick to put up and take down, so we take it with us traveling.

The zippered door was a bit low for our pooch to get in under (She's a greyhound mix, so we are talking about a tall, 70-lb. dog.), but she managed quite well & easily and had plenty of room inside to be warm in her den. We haven't used it camping, yet, but imagine it would function well for many dogs. Ours is a "velcro" dog, however, and probably won't like being outside, alone. For our immediate needs, it functions perfectly and is very reasonably priced. Thanks, Pet Guys & Alcott.
  • Fits many standard dog pads perfectly
  • Small tent "footprint"
  • Reasonably priced
  • Retains body warmth
  • Haven't found any yet, really
  • Large dogs will have to crawl/"duck" inside, but ours had no difficulty with that.

Great quality. Easy to assemble. Perfect size for a large Pitbull! Best price compared to "cheap" dog beds with canopy. Love the product!
