FiproGuard Flea & Tick Control for cats is a generic equivalent to Frontline Top Spot, containing the same active ingredient of Fipronil. For cats and kittens over 8 weeks of age.

We use this product on both our dogs and cats , it has worked very well and we are on a fixed income and the cost is great we highly recommend it

Product ineffective, but Petguys service was great

The 1 star IS NOT AT ALL FOR PETGUYS!!! It's strictly for the product. PetGuys were terrific.I usually use Advantage fipronil for my cat, and was very excited to find a "generic" alternative with a very competitive price after years of limited market choices from Advantage and Frontline. However, this product simply did not work on my cat. I applied it, and later that day, didn't see the usual dead and dying fleas around my cat's bedding area that I'd always seen with Advantage. I should add that I did a very thorough "spring cleaning" of all bedding, including mine, and vacuuming in anticipation of applying this product after a winter of not using any fipronil products. The next day, I did a flea combing, and pulled off over 30 very alive fleas--they seemed to have not been affected by the treatment at all. The next day, same thing--a bunch of very active and healthy fleas in the flea comb.I sent an email to PetGuys, and they called me back that same day, and arranged to credit my account without me having to even send the unused product back. I should also add that they shipped my order in a VERY speedy manner. So while I can't recommend this product, I hearily recommend ordering from this company.
