I have used them all, this has the best design,easy to clean.The previous review should read instructions. New filters you run under water at least 5 minutes to get the loose ones out. Very quiet. My cats love it

As i am ordering more filters i am noticing i bought my CAT MATE fountain more than a decade ago. I periodically clean it with a dilute bleach soln to keep the pump clean. This is a great cat fountain. Leo the great loved it and now Queen Mary and Prince John have taken to it very well too. I Believe this would be 3 (4 including owner) five star reviews.
Several height options for cats drink from, including a sliding waterfall. Very easy to disassemble and clean. Simple design that has been very durable. Also it holds a significant amount of water so it does not have to be "refilled" daily. And importantly, it filters the water so if the cats add "dirt" or a hairball this is caught by a filter and not in flowing water.
None! This was a really good investment as cats can turn their whiskers up at stale water. Drinking plenty of clean water is good for every mammals health!

The fountain is quiet and very easy to assemble and maintain. My cats seem to appreciate the three different heights of water.
I very much wish it were available in ceramic, but meanwhile we're loving the plastic one.

The product was delivered as ordered and shipped expediently! This is the 2nd fountain I have bought and LOVE it! My cats do too! It is quiet, easy to clean and runs continuously with variable speeds. Water stays fresh!

As I hoped for, my cats have taken to this water fountain. They seem to particularly like that they can drink standing up :) And the fountain is easy to take apart and put together. My only complaint is that the pump is noisy, like there might be a loose bearing. We've examined the pump and its placement in the fountain. It is secure so it might be the pump itself. I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see if the pump can be replaced, as other reviewers have noted that their fountain is quiet.
Easy to take apart. Cats love having different levels to drink from.

I've had several fountains for my 3 cats, and this one is definitely the best one I've purchased. It is very quiet, very easy to clean (important since I don't have a dishwasher), and with multiple levels it satisfies all 3 cats differing preferences. I'll likely be purchasing another one to swap out with this one when I'm too lazy to do the dishes!

The one thing I would change is the shape of the bottom bowl. While it is big, the shape is square which can be too narrow for a cat with a large head. I'd round the bowl portion so there is a larger area for them. Otherwise, no cons.

The cat likes it and my wife likes it since the cat no longer wants to get a fresh drink from the kitchen sink. I like it since I can't hear it running. It is also very easy to fill.

My cat loves the product. Its easy to see that the cat is actually drinking the water more consistently.
Shipping was smooth and customer service was real quick to respond even though I wrote to them over a holiday weekend.
Real quite, very easy to maintain. Had it for over a month now and no real problems. At least performance wise.
Real solid product, highly recommended.
not really a con but a suggestion.
when a cat drinks from the fountain, some loose hairs get into the bottom bowl or the surroundings of where it drank usually due to static electricity since the products exterior is made of plastic.
maybe figure out a way so no hairs get into the bowl or create/supply something to get rid of the hairs without contaminating the water.
I live in southern california where water is scarce and it just seems like a waste of perfectly good purified water if I keep cleaning the product every time some hair gets into the bowl

Keeps my cat with kidney issues drinking lots of water!

16 year old kitty had kidney values on the way up a couple years ago. This fountain is keeping him drinking lots of water. As soon as I filled it & put it on the floor, he knew it was his! :-) I choose to use bottled drinking water to avoid the chlorine, etc. and improve the life of the filters. His kidney values are holding steady.
I hesitated to order this since I have owned others & they were a nightmare to keep clean. This is the easiest to clean I have ever used. The filter keeps it flowing nicely & he loves it.
Only suggestion I would have would be to design the flow "slide" so that it came into the opposite side of the bowl from the intake so that the bowl water is circulated more efficiently, however, I am still very happy with it!

Electrical cord has "connector" which allows me to disconnect the unit with the short cord to transport to clean without having to unplug from electrical. I find that easy & convenient.

Have done a lot of online research regarding cat fountains. This one is highly recommended and is easy to clean and use.
Like the versatility of drinking options, high, low, and waterfall.
Only problem is my cat just looks at it and will go without water until I put water in his ceramic bowl. Have tried scenting the water with Catnip and Chicken broth. Will offer it to my son-in-law, they have three cats and a dog.

And I've tried them all. This one works flawlessly and quietly for a very long time. I highly recommend this model, the cats love it.
Very dependable, long lasting, and silent operation.
To replace just the motor costs more than just buying a whole new unit, but that's not really a big deal, just buy a new one!
