Worked for us
Our little labx rescue gal needed her anal glands removed and I did a lot of research before deciding on this inflatable collar. The vet would not allow us to bring her home in it but we replaced it the minute we walked in the house. You need to be sure the collar is tightened enough so it won't slide around their neck. It has indents in it and when they're placed properly, kept her from reaching her incisions yet allowed her the freedom to eat, drink and socialize without clunking into everything with the clunky plastic cone. We didn't attach it to her collar for ease of removal if needed. Also, do not over inflate. I think a lot of folks had trouble with it being punctured but I think the only way that could happen is if over filled. We've blown up pools for kids and air mattresses for sleeping....this is the exact same filling process and if you had problems filling it, you didn't know what you were doing.
ProsMore freedom and comfort.
