Each ceramic ring contains at least 100 square feet of surface area providing more biological power than a traditional cartridge. Use o the BioMax insert will provide optimal living space for beneficial bacteria and enhance the removal of ammonia and nitrites resulting in a healthy aquarium environment. It’s extremely practical

I’ve been using this for my 10 gallon and it worked so well I got a new box of this bio media for my new 15 gallon. It works great and it’s basically a classic for me.
