Hagen AquaClear 50 Powerhead

Hagen AquaClear 50 Powerheads feature a patented pump with free-floating impeller for long and dependable service, "Venturi" aeration, variable flow control, and an adjustable, pivoting riser stem adapter. Powerhead 50 offers both forward and reverse water flow. Reverse flow through an undergravel system promotes bacterial growth from the bottom up. It also keeps the substrate cleaner by forcing debris to the top, rather than pulling it into gaps which will cause channeling and deadspots where water cannot circulate. An AquaClear Powerhead is easily fitted to most undergravel systems. It comes equipped with a tapered riser stem adapter which accepts 1/2" to 1 1/8" tubing, a rim clamp to firmly hold it in place atop the riser stem, and an optional suction cup bracket which allows the unit to hang from an aquarium wall instead of the rim.
